A classic low-end microphone for your collection. Designed in Britain, the DM-1B is ideal for picking up the lower, booming frequencies of the kick drum. As part of your Sontronics Drumpack, you can be assured a nice solid foundation and a powerful bass drum sound which is full of low-end clarity. It's an end-fire cardioid condenser. This makes it ideal not just for kick drums, but also other instruments residing in the low end. Tuba. Bass guitar. Upright Bass. Even male vocals. They all sound great with the DM-1B.
Sontronics DM-1S and DM-1T
Crisp recording for toms and snare. Pristine results from very compact microphones. During three years of intense research and development with musicians and producers, Sontronics have produced a set of microphones that are sure to eke every drop of nuance from your performances. They are both DM-1S and DM-1T are small-diaphragm condenser microphones with -10dB attenuation pads. They are incredibly responsive and can capture up to 135db SPL with no trouble at all. Each has been designed for different applications. The DM-1S is great for capturing the aggressive attack of a snare and the DM-1T captures the beautiful resonances of the tom drum.
Sontronics STC-10
Overhead pencil microphone to help your cymbals sing. Based on the incredible STC-1 - also from Sontronics - the STC-10 is purposefully designed to provide the incredible overhead response at an attractive price point. Without losing any of sound quality. It's ideal for placing about the kit and capturing it in its entirety, as well as the ambience of the room. Not only is it excellent for drums, but the STC-10 is also great for string instruments and for spot placement on guitar amps and cabs.
