The McDSP AE600 Active EQ Native is a highly flexible EQ plugin that features six overlapping fixed and active EQ bands with independent control over each band. The next generation of EQ plugins, the AE600 delivers a revolutionary plugin experience using ultra-low latency algorithms for a smooth and natural EQ effect that can help transform your mixes to a studio-ready, professional standard. 13 selectable EQ modes include Vintage, X-style, Parametric, HPF, LPF and more can be individually controlled between the fixed and active bands with comprehensive control over the ratio, release, attack and threshold of each active EQ band.
Each fixed and active band share the same parameters of gain, frequency, Q factor and mode controls with the ability to link each band together to make global changes that will copy across each band. Additionally, you can set each band to trigger from the input signal or external side-chaining signal for a more dynamic and flexible approach to EQ to carve out a unique space within your mix.

At the front and centre of any track is the vocals, the melody that drives the emotion and the words that speak to the listeners. It's vital that vocals stand out in a dense mix and not be in direct competition for frequency space with other elements of a mix. With AE600, making your vocals pop is simple, with six bands of EQ to manipulate dynamically, you can carve out a space for your vocals yourself, or use the external side-chain capabilities to push your vocals to the front above other instruments over your threshold.
Six bands of active EQ feature threshold, ratio, attack and release controls per band with side-chain input, making it the ideal solution for dynamic processing of your vocal tracks. For vocal tracks that contain a large amount of sibilance, the AE600 allows you to use dynamic EQ in a targetted frequency range with extreme precision to tame the sibilance when it occurs. The dynamic movement of the active EQ bands within AE600 is much more natural than using a simple static EQ cut that will cut the targetted frequency no matter what signal is passed through as it reacts to your music, giving you a natural and authentic sound.
