Product Ref: 48981
Steinberg's WaveLab 8.5 builds on the previous success of WaveLab 8 by providing new features including Watch Folders, Encoder Checkers, ACC Encoder and Multi Format Rendering. The Watch Folders allow for quicker file conversion and batch processing tasks and utilise standard folders to process and render files.
WaveLab 8.5 has an Encoder Checker feature that compares common encoder formats and their settings by creating a multi stream playback preview. There is also a real time FFT graph that allows you to see how encoder and parameter selection will impact the sound quality. This new analysis tool takes the guesswork out of rendering to encoders, offering real-time A/B/C comparison of MP3 variable bitrate, such as MP3 192 kbit, MP3 128 kbit, iTunes-compatible AAC or Ogg Vorbis formats.
The WaveLab 8.5 has a Muli format rendering feature that again helps to speed up file export handling by exporting current audio files to numerous different file formats concurrently by using multicore technology. The multi format rendering task can be stored as a preset to enable you to recall when necessary.
The ACC Encoder feature within WaveLab 8.5 allows for audio content to be rendered directly into ACC format (e.g. HE-AAC, HE-AAC v2, HD-AAC and 3GPP) for upload to iTunes or use with Apple products.
WaveLab 8.5 comes with all the standard of WaveLab 8 features such as:An integrated speaker management system, allowing you to switch between up to eight speaker setups for playback and record monitoring, including individual gain control for each output.
A fully-fledged EBU R128.5-compliant loudness metering and processing solution. WaveLab also contains a zoomable loudness view that visualizes all values as a clear graph.
A plug-in chain window that hosts all inserted clip, track or master plug-ins in one single area. Now you can switch between different plug-ins with a single click. Also new in version 8.5 is the completely redesigned plug-in organization. The newly introduced plug-in settings dialog allows you to group and sort plug-ins by vendor, category and favourites, making it easy to manage your ever growing number of plug-ins.
And a time-saving Raise Selection function that allows you to adjust the level of individual clip regions in an instant. Plus, several new trim and split options have been added to the framework of the new Auto-Split function. What's more, you can now process selected regions of your audio file using e.g. a plug-in chain with just a single command, making comparisons between different editings a straightforward matter. And the new auto-replay option automatically re-triggers the playback right after your edit.
