AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 Wireless DJ Headphones Overview

View this description in Finnish

The AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 Wireless DJ Headphones are designed for DJs who need detailed sound, flexible monitoring, and dependable connectivity during performances. Their newly developed 40mm drivers produce deep, defined bass, while the PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragms minimise unwanted vibrations for clear, balanced mids and highs.

The HDJ-F9 features a built-in bass-reflex chamber which enhances low-frequency response, helping you pick out kick drums when beatmatching. Background noise can make monitoring difficult, especially in busy DJ booths. That's why the HDJ-F9 features an optimised internal design that improves sound isolation, letting you hear your tracks without turning the volume up unnecessarily.

SonicLink technology also allows instant wireless pairing with compatible DJ equipment, while the separately available HP-TX01 transmitter provides connectivity with other setups. For added flexibility, swivelling earcups and an adjustable headband support single-ear monitoring, while the die-cast aluminium slider provides durability. There's also a bayonet-locking cable connection to prevent accidental disconnections during your set.

Mix freely with ultra-low latency wireless monitoring

Leave restrictive headphone cables behind without sacrificing accurate timing. AlphaTheta's SonicLink technology provides wireless audio with latency as low as 9ms, keeping your monitoring closely synchronised with your performance. This makes precise beatmatching and scratching possible without a physical connection to your mixer.

SonicLink Touch Pairing simplifies setup further, letting you connect by touching the headphones against supported equipment, including the DJM-V5 with updated firmware. For broader compatibility, the separately available HP-TX01 transmitter connects the headphones to additional devices. You can also use the supplied 1.2m coiled cable, extending to approximately 3m, for traditional wired monitoring.

Hear every beat with controlled bass and clear detail

Accurate monitoring matters when you're working in a noisy booth. The HDJ-F9 uses newly developed 40mm drivers to reproduce low frequencies with depth and definition, helping you distinguish basslines and kick drums while mixing.

A bass-reflex chamber positioned above each earcup improves low-frequency attack, keeping rhythmic elements clear. The PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragm reduces unwanted vibration for balanced mids and highs with minimal distortion. An optimised internal construction also improves sound isolation compared with conventional on-ear designs. This means you can focus on your tracks without constantly increasing the volume to compete with surrounding noise.

Stay comfortable through demanding DJ sets

Long performances call for headphones that accommodate your preferred monitoring technique. The HDJ-F9 features swivel-mounted hangers that make single-ear listening straightforward, alongside a flexible silicone headband that remains comfortable when the headphones rest around your shoulders. This gives you flexibility when checking the room sound or switching between monitoring positions.

A sturdy die-cast aluminium adjustment slider provides additional strength for regular handling and transport. The headphones have also passed international durability testing, giving you reassurance when using them repeatedly in professional environments. Their understated appearance complements different setups without distracting from your performance.

Personalise your headphones and simplify everyday listening

The dedicated HEADPHONES CONNECT app gives you control over several useful settings. Adjust the Status LED's colour and brightness to suit your setup, rename your headphones, configure automatic power-off, and access firmware updates. There's also a sound-based location feature for finding misplaced headphones.

Multipoint Bluetooth allows simultaneous connections to two devices, making switching between your phone and computer convenient. Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair simplify compatible device connections, while the built-in microphone supports hands-free calls. Battery life reaches seven hours using SonicLink or 13 hours via Bluetooth with the LED illuminated. A 30-minute charge provides approximately 2.5 hours of listening.
