With 1,587 Voices, 63 Drum/SFX Kits, and 480 XG Voices available, the PSR-SX920 gives you plenty of sounds to work into arrangements and performances. Super Articulation2 technology adds detailed instrumental characteristics such as glissandos and other articulations, helping parts respond with greater realism. Super Articulation+ Voices add another useful layer of control by letting you switch between different articulations at the touch of a button. Plus, Crossfade Portamento creates smooth pitch transitions between notes. Together, these features give you more ways to shape melodies and instrumental parts without interrupting the flow of your playing.
Shape your backing as you play
The PSR-SX920 includes 575 accompaniment Styles, covering 520 Pro Styles, 49 Session Styles, and six Free Play Styles. Each Style includes four One Touch Settings, helping you quickly call up suitable settings for your accompaniment. Style Dynamics Control lets you adjust the energy and dynamics of Styles in real time using a knob or pedal, so your backing can respond more naturally to changes in your performance. You can also work with three intros, four main variations, four fills, and three endings. This gives you practical control over song structure while keeping your hands-on performance moving.
Keep essential controls close by
When you’re performing, quick access to the right function can make a real difference. The PSR-SX920 provides eight assignable panel buttons and two assignable control knobs, letting you keep commonly used functions close at hand. Its assignable joystick adds another hands-on control option, while the seven-inch, 800 x 480 colour touchscreen makes navigating settings and features straightforward. Registration Memory provides eight buttons for recalling setups, and the Playlist can hold 2,500 records. So, whether you’re preparing a set or adjusting parameters while playing, you have several ways to organise the keyboard around your own workflow.
Build arrangements and record your ideas
Chord Looper lets you record a chord progression and repeat it automatically, freeing you to concentrate on melodies, solos, or other performance controls. It’s equally useful when practising or developing arrangements, giving you a repeating harmonic foundation to work over. For more detailed song creation, the PSR-SX920 provides 16 recording tracks alongside Quick, Multi, and Step Recording modes. You can also use 500 Multi Pad banks, each containing four pads, with Audio Link support for adding further material. Around 4 GB of internal memory and USB flash drive support give you practical options for storing your work and expanding your setup.
