Key Features
Shakmat Aeolus Seeds is a highly powerful quadraphonic panning module with built-in modulation and vector synthesis. Utilising a fully analog signal path through four VCA's, you can manipulate the dynamics of your signal through multi-channel modulation sources to create unique and ethereal soundscapes. Each of the four inputs is normalised between channels, allowing you to expand on what is possible with the signals at your disposal, transforming mono signals to stereo and stereo to the realm of quadraphonic, giving you even more versatility for quadraphonic processing.
Comprehensive CV outputs allow you to explore even further into what is possible with quadraphonic processing through additional modules within your existing Eurorack synthesizer. A huge amount of versatility and flexibility is packed within this 10HP module to go beyond your comfort zone and experiment with new ways to process your signal to produce unexpected and wonderful soundscapes.

The core of the Aelous Seeds is four fully analog VCA's that modulate each channels amplitude, where each VCA is driven by four internal modulation sources to generate the spatial effects within the quadraphonic soundscape. Each modulator has two parameters, Time and Depth, where time increases the speed or rate of the modulation source and depth control how deep the modulation source affects the signal. For a huge range of versatility in modulation, each modulator can be used in six modes, ranging from classic wooshing and swirling to alien textures with granular grit. The six modes include quadrature sine, square LFO, decay envelope, attack envelope, random, and granulator with harsh or smooth grain envelopes. The modes can be controlled via the CV inputs to allow for synced modulation with other sources in your modular Eurorack for expansive exploration into the world of quadraphonic processing. Two configuration modes set how the modulator is positioned between your speakers in either quad (four independent speakers) or dual mode (two pairs of speakers). In quad mode, the movement of your modulator is either set as a circle, a figure of eight, infinity patterns, whereas in dual-mode, the modulation moves left to front or front to back.
