The One-Box Solution
Tech 21 has developed a wide range of Fly-Rigs, ever since the release of their first all-in-one pedalboard. These popular devices are founded on the SansAmp range of amp modelling devices and aim to provide a simple way to getting you plugged in and achieving great tones. The Acoustic Fly-Rig builds on this blueprint and offers an easy way for the acoustic guitarist to sculpt their tone and apply multiple effects. It aims to remove the usual guitar rig complexities, such as negotiating patch cables, power units, pedalboards, and everything else that comes with using several effect pedals. Here you have a one-box solution to all your tonal requirements, ready to grab-and-go at a moment's notice and get you ready to perform in a matter of minutes.
SansAmp Tone Sculpting
At its heart, the Acoustic Fly-Rig features a SansAmp analogue preamp which provides multiple EQ controls to shape your sound. It includes a sweepable, semi-parametric active EQ to give you professional-grade sound sculpting in any situation. A variable notch filter provides a targeted removal of the frequencies that may be sensitive to feedback on your acoustic guitar. The low pass filter helps to remove undesirable low-end 'boominess'. The SansAmp preamp lets you find your ideal tone whether you are on stage or plugged directly into a recording device.
Multiple Effects
The Acoustic Fly-Rig has an all analogue FET-based compression to provide an instantly warmer and more balanced sound. The FET technology is warmer, more transparent and more musical than other compression technologies. A dedicated reverb effect adds a lush ambience to your sound, ranging from a room sized effect up to a large hall. The delay/chorus effect is switchable and can either provide a warm analogue-style delay or a lush chorus which gives a natural 12-string-style guitar sound. An independent boost provides up to 12db of additional level for solos, while the in-built tuner is a useful addition for quick, on-stage tuning.
Connectivity For Different Setups
The Acoustic Fly-Rig is designed to work in multiple situations. It can be plugged into a guitar amp with a 1/4'' output, run straight into a mixing desk for live sound with the XLR output, or plugged into a recording device. The Fly-Rig's 1/4'' output doubles as a headphone out and allows for silent practice. These connections make this the ideal unit for going between the studio and the stage.
Rugged Construction
The Fly-Rig is constructed with a metal chassis and rugged silent switches. It is a compact unit and features everything you need to get performing with a quick setup. The power supply is included, and will work world-wide with the correct adaptors. The Fly-Rig is designed to remove the complexities of using multiple effects and power supplies, and gives you a simple grab-and-go solution for getting great tone in the studio and on stage.
