Super Jumbo Cutaway

The jumbo size provides a big brash tone. With all the extra wood there is more room for the sound to vibrate around the body, resulting in a big, bold sound which simply can't be recreated from a smaller bodied guitar. The cutaway shape enables guitarists to play more challenging chords with easy reach. If you're looking for a big guitar, with an enormous sound, and stunning tonal properties, the Tanglewood Sundance Pro Super Jumbo is the one for you.

Choice of Tonewoods

Built using solid spruce for the top-wood, a mahogany neck, back and sides, and a rosewood fingerboard, players can achieve a variety of tones. The spruce soundboard delivers a wide, dynamic tonal palette, which resonates well whilst and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright highs. This paired with mahogany back and sides, which adds richness and warmth into the mix. Mahogany is used a lot in the acoustic world, as it is relatively economical, durable, attractive, easy to work with, and resonant.

Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, that delivers a warm, bright, and sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger picking techniques. The reason why many guitar necks are made from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease. With a natural gloss finish, and stunning inlays, the Tanglewood Sundance Pro really is a guitar of outstanding Tanglewood beauty.

Fishman Presys+

The Tanglewood Sundance Pro Super Jumbo Electro Acoustic comes with an on-board Fishman Presys+ preamp. It is designed to offer maximum control, performance, and quality in a small format. The sophisticated Presys+ system features volume, bass, mid, and treble controls, also featuring a phase switch, and built-in tuner with easy read LED screen for quick and reliable setup. The presys+ also includes a pre-wired Fishman Sonicore pickup as well as a low battery indicator, and a unique pivot design for easy access to the battery compartment.

Tanglewood Styling

In addition to providing you with a beautiful tone and comfortable playing experience, the Super Jumbo Electro Acoustic is finished with a full host of ornate details including a striped rosette design, a deep red marbled pickguard, and uniquely shaped fingerboard inlays. The head-stock is finished in natural gloss, and features the classic Tanglewood logo for added prestige.
