At the core of the SE NF3 sits a trio of PRS Narrowfield DD “S” pickups, bringing a distinctive voice to the SE range. Their taller bobbin design allows more windings, which increases output while retaining detail. Additional metal pieces positioned between the magnets help concentrate the magnetic field, producing a tighter and more focused response across the strings.

This design keeps notes defined even when playing with gain or complex chords. The result is a pickup set that can move comfortably between clean passages, expressive leads, and rhythm parts without losing clarity. With three pickups and a five-way blade switch, you have several tonal combinations ready for different playing styles and genres.

Comfortable neck built for quick movement

The SE NF3 pairs its poplar body with a bolt-on maple neck shaped to PRS’s Wide Thin profile. This design keeps the neck slim and easy to navigate, helping your fretting hand move quickly across the instrument.
