The Les Paul Custom has long been known for its elegant "tuxedo" appearance, and this Inspired By Gibson model faithfully captures that iconic look. Multi-ply binding frames the body and headstock, while a bound ebony fingerboard is decorated with large mother-of-pearl block inlays. The Gibson-style open-book headstock features the traditional split-diamond inlay, adding a distinctive visual signature that has defined the Les Paul Custom for decades. Gold hardware completes the luxurious aesthetic, giving the instrument a refined stage presence that stands out immediately.
This model is fitted with a pair of Gibson USA humbuckers that deliver powerful and versatile tones. The 490R neck pickup provides warm, smooth sounds ideal for blues, jazz, and classic rock lead work. In the bridge position, the 498T offers increased output and tighter response for punchy rhythms and cutting lead tones. Together they create a balanced tonal range capable of covering a wide variety of musical styles while maintaining the unmistakable character associated with Les Paul guitars.
The one-piece neck features a comfortable '50s Rounded Medium C profile that provides a solid and familiar feel in the hand. An ebony fingerboard adds smooth playability and visual contrast, while the 22-fret layout offers plenty of room for expressive lead playing. The 12-inch fingerboard radius allows comfortable chord work near the nut while still supporting smooth bends higher up the neck. Combined with classic Les Paul construction, the neck design encourages confident, fluid playing across the entire fretboard.
High-quality hardware ensures dependable performance on stage and in the studio. A LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone stop bar tailpiece provide excellent sustain and tuning stability, while Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 ratio allow precise tuning adjustments. The electronics are hand-wired using CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors, delivering smooth control response and a consistent vintage-inspired tonal character. Together these features give the guitar both the reliability and sonic depth expected from a Les Paul Custom.
