The Mesa Boogie 5-band EQ has featured on high-end Mesa Boogie since the '70s and has provided guitarists with a powerful way to sculpt their tone far beyond what traditional amplifier controls can achieve. The 5-band EQ can give players access to the classic "V" profile with a mid-scooped tone for modern rock and metal, or it can create any number of EQ profiles to help your sound stand out. The Graphic EQ pedal gives you compact and portable access to the legendary Mesa Boogie EQ; it has the potential to either subtly or radically transform the sound of your amplifier.
With 5 sliders at preset frequencies, the Mesa Boogie Graphic EQ provides a wide range of control over your sound. Each slider is a long-throw design, created for fine control with up to +/-12dB of boost/cut. Whether you set the pedal for the famous "V"-shaped curve, or you use it for other tone-boosting settings, the Graphic EQ can radically sculpt your tone and have useful applications in any genre.
The input and output gain can be set at +6dB boost to -40dB cut, letting you set a unity gain level to integrate with many different pieces of equipment. This lets you adapt the pedal to different guitars, amplifiers, mixing desks; anything that could require additional EQ control.
The 5-band graphic EQ is found on many of Mesa Boogie's high-end amplifiers and the Graphic EQ pedal can be connected in your own amp's FX loop to create the same tone-sculpting capability. If used in the front-end of your amp, the Graphic EQ can shape the tone of your guitar and be used to create a boosted effect. The footswitch lets you access the alternate tone in an instant - perfect for live performance - while the hard bypass means your tone remains totally uncoloured when the pedal is disengaged.
