A high-performance cardioid capsule forms the heart of the C3000, providing excellent isolation with a wide frequency response (20Hz - 20kHz). From recording to performing, the C3000 has been designed to accurately capture vocals, guitars, drums, brass, and more with exceptional clarity and detail.

The microphone is capable of capturing sounds with an SPL of up to 150dB thanks to an integrated switchable pre-attenuation pad, whilst a switchable low-cut filter eliminates the proximity effect and unwanted low-frequency noise below 500Hz. With hand-selected premium-grade components, the C3000 delivers a powerful yet natural sound, accurately reproducing every nuance of your performance.

A heavy-duty all-metal housing provides excellent rejection of RF interference, as well as ensuring that the precious internal components are kept safe. A robust metal grille protects the C3000's capsule, whilst the transducer element itself utilises advanced backplate technology and a diaphragm with gold-sputtering on one side only. This prevents local shorting to the microphone's back electrode, even at extremely-high SPLs. Capable of withstanding rough handling for many years, the AKG C3000 is an excellent workhorse for a wide variety of environments and situations.
