Pearl Export Drums make a triumphant return in the form of the new series - the Export EXX. Taking its influence from Pearl's Reference Series, the new Export blends poplar and rich Asian mahogany for a rich and full-bodied tone. As with all Pearl drums, each shell is formed using an SST construction process that uses extreme heat, Precision-cut scarf joints, the proprietary Acoustiglue and over 1000lbs of hydraulic pressure to create the high-quality standard of drums we've come to expect from Pearl.
Pearl's Superior Shell Technology - a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. First, select woods are chosen based on their unique acoustic properties, then milled to optimal thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams, providing you with a perfect, air-tight fit. After that, the wood plies are saturated with Pearl's special AcoustiGlue, which permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood, giving you phenomenal resonance. Lastly, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure, creating drum shells with remarkable tone, vibrancy, and strength.
