About Gibson

Gibson founder Orville Gibson manufactured Mandolins in Michigan, in the late 1890s. He first invented archtop guitars using the same type of arch top found on a violin. By 1930’s, Gibson were also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitar.

Later on in the early 1950’s, Gibson introduced its first and most popular guitar to date, the Les Pual as the electric guitar was growing in popularity. Since then the Les Paul has become one of the most recognizable and popular guitars, used by the likes of Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend, Slash and many more iconic guitarists.

Gibson also released other popular models, such as the SG, ES-335, Explorer, Flying V and many other guitars, all of which are used in all genres of music from rock to pop, reggae to blues. Being on of only 50 licensed UK Gibson dealers we can offer a fantastic selection of Gibson electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitars and accessories all at the lowest prices online.
