The Intellijel Metropolis is perfect for any live performer or a person who loves to jam out to their electronic modular beats. The various buttons and sliders allow your sequence to be manipulated in real-time making it the perfect companion to your live performance set up. The Metropolis comprises of eight stages that allow you to change the pitch, pulse count and gate time for maximum flexibility.

Functions

This intelligent sequencer gets it inspiration from the Ryk-M 185 with many additional enhancements and functions that separate this sequencer from the rest. Innovative functions including gate, slide, skip, pitch and pulse count give this fun sequencer great potential for performance and improvisation. You can use the gate time knob to change the length of the notes, while its 3 different gate modes manipulate your sequences even more. The gate mode allows you to change the behavior of the sequence and you can use the pulse count sliders to change the way the sequencer plays through the notes. If you have it on 8 for example, then depending on the gate setting you have it on, it will play the first note and play 7 pulse counts before moving onto the next stage, perfect for creating a bouncy groove. So you can either have it play 8 notes (repeat mode on gate) or hold the note for 8 counts (hole mode on gate).

Storing Settings

The Metropolis also allows you to save the system settings you create to one of 8 slots by using the SAVE button. You can then use the LOAD button to recall your settings so if you happen to create an absolutely mind blowing funky sequence that you don't want to lose then this function is perfect for you.

Skip Function

Featured on the Intellijel Metropolis is the skip function. When enabled the sequencer skips over to the next stage when it comes in time to advance. The Intellijel Metropolis is something that will definitely provide you with of hours of experimentation.

Two Assignable AUX Inputs

The two AUX inputs on the Metropolis sequencer allow you to add voltages in to control either the sequence length, transpose, gate length, key shift, root note, step divisor and octave offset of the sequencer.

The RUN jack is normalled to -12V and has been known to damage Metropolis outputs. Make sure to plug a cable into the RUN jack BEFORE plugging into any Metropolis jacks so you break the -12V normal)
